Platform Access & Allocation Covenants

Welcome to the Cooperative Human Tissue Network Eastern Division (CHTNEastern) web portal. By interacting with our transient inventory tools, testing our natural language query panels, or authenticating into our application environments, you agree to comply with the following operational terms.

1. Acceptable Infrastructure Use

This site and its integrated database discovery APIs are provided strictly to assist investigators with matching, finding, and acquiring human biospecimens for authorized scientific research.

Users are strictly prohibited from utilizing automated screen-scraping bots, malicious automated form submission scripts, or unauthorized network fuzzing arrays against our endpoint routes, including our backend interfaces.

2. Portal Security & Credentials

Authorized personnel granted authentication tokens for specialized portals (such as ScienceServer or the BAT platform) are solely responsible for maintaining individual credential privacy.

Because account workflows trigger database logs and handle critical institutional compliance structures, credential sharing is strictly prohibited. Any suspected compromise of access keys must be reported immediately to Systems Informatics.

3. Specimen Ordering & Research Compliance

Submitting parameters through our search panels or transient allocation drawers acts as a preliminary query request and does not guarantee specimen delivery. Final biological sample distribution is completely contingent upon:

  • Verification of an active, approved investigator application layout on file with the CHTNi (Network).
  • Execution of institutional Material Transfer Agreements (MTA) or division compliance clearances.
  • Adherence to the national NCI/CHTN fee schedule structures.

4. Right to Modify & Terminate Access

CHTNEastern reserves the right to adjust, deprecate, or temporarily interrupt web infrastructure channels, search views, or portal access frames at any time without prior notification to fulfill security reviews, institutional system migrations, or maintenance dependencies.
